Created in 2017, Spentys develops an interactive 3D-printing and 3D modelling platform (SaaS) that allows medical practitioners to design tailor made immobilisation devices, replacing splints or casts. It reduces the gap between 3D technologies and the practitioners’ medical environment. The orthopaedic device, called Polycast, is produced in 3 steps: 3D scan of the patient’s limb, 3D model of the specific device, 3D print onsite or in a Spentys production facility.
The final product considerably improves the quality of life for patients as it is tailor made, waterproof, light, aerated and recyclable.
